Based in Mumbai, Monika has close to 15 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, competition laws and matters related to corporate commercial laws.
Monika qualified as a lawyer in 2002 from the University of Mumbai. Prior to joining PDS Legal, Monika was a Partner at Desai & Diwanji.
She has advised on a variety of domestic and cross-border transactions and has been actively involved in a large number of legal due diligences in various sectors such as renewable energy, infrastructure and road projects, financial, manufacturing, broadcasting and pharmaceutical sectors. She has also advised clients on corporate governance, transaction structuring, group restructuring, regulatory filings, FDI and SEBI-related issues.
Nageswar has more than 25 years of experience encompassing litigation practice and industry. He is member of the Bar Council of Delhi, Delhi High court Bar Association and Supreme Court of India. He is also a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Nageswar regularly appears before Advance Ruling Authority, Tax Tribunals, High courts on a pan-India basis and Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. He has experience of representing in Constitutional remedies, direct tax (including international tax and transfer pricing) and indirect tax disputes.
Prior to joining PDS legal he was partner in Amarchand Mangaldas Suresh Shroff & co (AMSS).
Neil has more than 10 years of experience in litigation and dispute resolution at various forums across India. Neil is a member of the Bar Council of Delhi.
He has represented various leading companies in several corporate commercial matters and disputes before various High Courts and other fora such as the Green Tribunal, Competition Commission of India, Copyright Board and the Appellate Tribunal for Foreign Exchange.
He advises clients on commercial advisory matters and issues relating to intellectual property.
He has also been engaged as counsel to represent clients in arbitration proceedings involving several institutions such as LSAC and SIAC.
Before joining PDS Legal, Neil worked with Economic Law Practice and Dua Associates.
Nishant is a Litigator and has experience of more than a decade as such, with specialisation in Direct Tax Litigation. He is a member of the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa and is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales.
Nishant has represented various leading multinational and domestic companies in their cross border/international tax, transfer pricing and domestic tax litigations.
He regularly appears before the Supreme Court, various High Courts and Tribunals across the country, as also the Authority for Advance Ruling.
He has also been engaged to give expert evidence before the High Court of Singapore in matters concerning interpretation of questions under the DTAA between India and Singapore as well as on matters concerning the Indian income tax law and service tax law.
He is also actively engaged in rendering strategic transaction related advisory services in context of Direct Tax Laws.
Before joining as a Partner, Nishant practiced as a Counsel from the Chamber of Senior Advocate S.E. Dastur in Bombay.
Prakash has more than 34 years of experience in legal practice. Prakash qualified as a solicitor from the Bombay Incorporated Law Society in 1983. Prakash is a member of the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa.
Prakash has substantial experience in the fields of direct and indirect taxation, intellectual property as well as general commercial litigation. He has advised on the implementation of value added tax (VAT) in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. Furthermore, he has assisted in discussions with the Government on recommendations for redrafting VAT legislation to address observations during legislative review.
Prakash regularly appears before the Honorable Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, Bombay High Court and the Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal for customs, excise and service tax litigations.
Prasad is a member of the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa.
Prasad has nearly 20 years of experience in advising clients in various indirect tax, compliance and litigation matters.
